I think Aider is great, but when I first tried it, it wasn’t “agentic” - you had to manually manage files in the context window. I found this cumbersome. I definitely resonated with Claude Code more, but wanted more model options.

I haven’t spent much time there. Mostly OpenaAI, Anthropic and Google as they had shown the most promise for coding. Hoping to spend more time on local models soon though.

Yep! It supports all major models right now: OpenAI (including new 4.1), Anthropic's Claude and all Gemini models.

Sidekick is an agentic CLI-based AI tool inspired by Claude Code, Copilot, Windsurf and Cursor. It's meant to be an open source alternative to these tools, providing a similar experience but with the flexibility of using different LLM

Hey fellow hackers. I made a tool (called Cheddar) that connects your bank accounts to Google Sheets and imports transactions automatically. It was originally a shitty little Python script that I was using personally but decided to make it

Ha ha, thanks for linking to this old post. For the record, this was meant to be a quick fix to solve some encoding issues we had on our live site. I agree that setting global state is a bad idea. However, client satisfaction is more import

As far as I know, Postach.io wasn't a bookmarking app. Not one we were running anyway.

Hey, sorry for the lack of details. We're still working on that. Basically, Postach.io looks in a notebook you specify when creating a site, for notes that are tagged as "published". This will make a post on your public site. Any images are

Awesome, glad to see you were able to hack a custom theme pretty quick too! Looks great. We'll have some in-depth theme docs coming later this week.

Ha ha yea, I'm a big fan of Markdown, one of the main reasons we added it. Can't beat normalized data ;) Would love to hear any other suggestions/feature ideas you have.

Images should be working, I'll check that out. As for custom domains, we absolute support it, just getting ready to roll it out. You can see custom domains in action on my site (also run via Postach.io) http://geekforbrains.com Cheers

Its running via gunicorn (socket) behind nginx (proxy). We also utilize celery and rabbitmq for workers (emails, pdf generation etc.) - besides that, nothing too magical. We use fabric+git to allow for quick hot-fixes and new releases.
