While this is clearly a problem and a challenge to address, the thing that never gets mentioned with this line of criticism is the obvious: a large number of real-life teachers make mistakes ALL the time. They harbor wrong / out-dated

Hey everyone, I wanted to share something I've been working SO hard on – a new version of Vibescape for Apple Vision Pro. Vibescape is an immersive meditation app that I first launched on day one of Apple Vision Pro's release. Tha

I dunno – I look at the original Jurassic Park and it still looks pretty amazing to me. Same with Terminator II. In many ways I feel like as directors got more and more capabilities with the tools they became comically overused. I don'

You'll definitely have a much more pleasant time following conventions – which arguably provides the best user experience. But for those times when you just really have to have something non-conventional, I've found that the UIVie

I built my first iOS app in 2010. Today, it's fantastically easier to get started. A night and day comparison. My biggest piece of advice: pick something you're interested in, build it, see how it comes out, and then do it again.

Biochar is a lot like this. It's believed to have created the incredible soils of the Amazon basin. Basically, wood gets burned to charcoal rather than ash, and the carbon is then buried – creating rich organic soil. One thing worth me

Serra's work is just one of those things that completely changed my world. I don't know how old I was, but walking through his pieces made me realize that art could be larger than life. Truly a giant of the 20th century.

This is beautifully executed. Game of Life must be the first simulation I ever took on as a programmer — and have revisited it over the years. To this day it continues to come up in my mind when people muse about things like consciousness.

Intriguing, but frustratingly little detail in the slideshow of what the changes entailed, and to what degree the could preserve the historic character while modifying the building envelope.

The thing a lot of people here seem to still be missing is that "no evidence", coming from scientific authorities, carries an implication that there's no evidence. But with science, we don't actually _know_ that to be tr

No evidence sounds definitive. "We _lack_ evidence" would be clearer, for instance, because it at least suggests that their _could_ be evidence, but it hasn't been found yet.
