> Messages promoting capitalism or meritocracy Fascinating. I thought anarchy was supposed to be all about unfettered freedom of association and trade with no governmental oversight. They seem to be defining it as opposition to the exist

I wonder if something like quickcheck could be used to randomly generate characters which pass the criteria. I don't know how it would handle Paul though...

I killed Paul when trying to get the atomic numbers to equal 200. My plan was to add "H" until the rule was satisfied. Then, I thought I accidentally went past it, so I started holding backspace. I went too far.

I've only been in the industry for ~3 years, so take this with a grain of salt. Mentorship is a two way street. Reach out to your assigned mentor or anyone with whom you have a good rapport. Ask for a 1:1 meeting if you don't al

Wait, the impact is beneficial? I've been worrying about running out of cartilage in my knees throughout my life. I had considered running to be a limited time thing that will just run out at some point.

Both of you seemed to be talking past each other. You were saying RedHat can stop selling to someone. They were saying RedHat can't stop a customer from redistributing the source. If I understand correctly, both are correct. Though, I

My favorite thing from that uniqueness website is that it shows cookies enabled as more common and thus more anonymizing. Not that they wouldn't just fingerprint you using those cookies if it was enabled. The other interesting thing is

What do you mean by "holding everyone up?" I'm constantly self conscious about this. I refuse to drive more than 5mph above the speed limit after a particular incident a few years back. I drive quite a bit on a 3 lane 75mph h

I find it funny that the guy wrote a long, seemingly thoughtful post. Then, he responds to all the top replies with memes and maybe a phrase. The pro-crypto people there also seem to be talking past his statement, trying to convince him of

People "conflate" the two because that's the logical implication of the phrase when one does not have the historical context of living through and being aware of the early days of the open source movement. Words do have meani

Not joking. Thank you for the perspective. I'm still unconvinced about ASP.NET + Microsoft SQL Server being superior to the other options available today. PostgreSQL or even sqlite seem like they would be superior for an internal-use a

Is email really like that for other industries? Where I work, the only non-content prose I read or write is the salutation and signature: ``` Hello Bob, We're observing an issue with X, and I was directed to you by Y as a good point of

I would think it would be the Windows equivalent of `grep -a Chrome -R C:/Windows`, right? Then, when it finds the file, just hexdump and/or disassemble it to learn more. Maybe they're scrambling the executable somehow?
