A delivery truck carries many packages, and delivers them along a route. A drone carries one package. In my neighborhood, that could be a drone every few minutes flying overhead. Electric delivery trucks are also much quieter than a drone.

Minneapolis/St Paul has at least one tool library (with multiple locations). MN Tool Library. Mentioning it in case someone in this thread is interested and lives nearby. Worth it, especially if you know have projects coming up. Lots o

This has been my experience with our local ISP in Minneapolis as well. Granted, I’ve only ever reached out to them maybe 3 times over 6 years, but each time they’ve been exceptional. No more than two phone rings before a person in our metro

Same here. We removed trim inside the house and it wasnt that bad, but I was just replacing the trim— not the windows. I could see that removing the windows would be a pain the ass very quickly. And it has already been done once.

I like it, and one additional thing (because isn’t there always): It’d be nice if this could be offline to use with local development.

Kagi has its “web” search, but you can switch to “small web” and get results like this. Or the “forums” lens if looking for user generated content.

Have you tried kagi small web? https://kagi.com/smallweb/ It’s not “browse search results” but more “curated stumbleupon”. You can also change your search lens from just generic “web” to “small web”, “forums”, “academi

It'd be great to get code blocks and inline code blocks. Ideally using Markdown syntax. And, if possible to get syntax highlighting, that'd be even better. But otherwise, this pretty well lines up with an idea that I had just be

I worked at a large 3PL during an avian flu about 10 years ago. We gained a large customer because we gave them a plan to import huge quantities of eggs from overseas (mostly Europe) via ship. Managing them through ports in both ends and ov

I don’t think wealthier people will choose to live where less wealthier people live. As is, they filter to different neighborhoods with periods of gradation separating them. In a tower, you still have to go to the ground floor to leave. Als

People come to volunteer with the interests and skills they have. It’s easier to let problems that are hard or not interesting fall to the wayside, and for the maintainers to take what they can get (especially if they think that happy contr
