The fact that quantum mechanics limits the information density of a field is a feature not a bug. Giving absolute numbers of position and momentum makes physicists pretty uncomfortable.

O'Connell et. al. showed you can put an entire macroscopic mechanical resonator in a superposition. How is macrorealism even a thing?

This is so strange! If something is unlikely to execute, it is unlikely to execute due to a condition, which you clue the branch predictor as unlikely and the layout thingy as out of line. Why would something be unconditionally unlikely to

Yo. I work in the field of quantum information. Usually you think of two different types of particles, fermions and bosons which loosely correspond to matter and force mediating particles. Electrons are fermions, and photons for instance ar

There are numerous people using python for science who just won't acknowledge python3 exists, and if they stop updating python2, oh boy. Not good.

Google is. Google will make a whole lot if they can make an AQC work for optimization.

"Presumably though the effects of aliasing will also also produce distortions at a smaller scale, which might not be as obvious" Why? What do you mean? What scale? What do you mean by distortion? The only only only thing sampling

> What happens when you start combining waves together to create more complex signals Aliasing is a linear effect. If L is an operator that aliases at some frequency, L(A a(t) + B b(t))=A L(a(t))+B L(b(t)). Aliasing is in fact multiplica

I don't see what the big deal is. Measurement is handled perfectly well by the stochastic master equation, which can be obtained through bayesian inference. Quantum mechanics is still thermodynamicish because we don't really know

Okay then. I wanna know of a better way to take four 1 GSPS signals, demodulate them, and pump out another two 1 GSPS signals which encode decisions made every every four samples on the incoming signals. That's ONE of the problems in q

The proliferation of the term "isomorphic javascript" really has to stop.

I think you're munging your terminology. Side-effectful computations in haskell are done inside the IO monad. A monad is not in general a thing for side-effectful computation. They are made unnecessary for side-effectful computation in

wxWidgets does a pretty darn good job and it really isn't THAT big. I'm totally still willing to cry bloat.

1) Native is probably the best... obviously. As you said, you get to follow each specific HIG, so that's good. 2) This I think is a bit of a fad. It's just so bloated and honestly just a way to let people with javascript/web

The photos (mockups?) look as if they've coated the circuit board with something to protect it, but still present it to the end user. What's this process called? Who does it? I'd be very interested, since making boxes is kind

I think everyone in signal processing writes the same rant against zero-order-hold at some point. The Xiph people did ( http://xiph.org/video/ ) and so has this guy.

Where can I read about the actual strategies used? Perhaps some that aren't used any more. I've read an absolute ton about how to set up a trading system with hadoop and cassandra and blah blah but that's all pretty trivial.
