Going to steal a description I wrote for a blogpost several years ago, when I had recently understood DI for the first time so it was very fresh in my mind: https://hasura.io/blog/build-fullstack-apps-nestjs-hasura-gr..

I'm not trying to shill for the company I work at, but in Hasura, you can make FK's and relationships between views and treat them like regular insertable/updatable tables. It was one of the many things that impressed me so m

I meant something more like this (although this doesn't QUITE compile, but it's close I think): static ubyte* [n*2] requires_ptr_twice_as_large_as_input(n : uint) ( ubyte*[n] input, ubyte*[n*2] output,

You might show an example of how to use D's templates (if it's possible) to emulate the more complex example of computing the bounds from an input argument char *strncpy(char * restrict dest : count(n), const cha

I count only 4, small features from C++20 not supported by Clang here: https://en.cppreference.com/w/cpp/compiler_support#cpp20 For core library features, you can just clone GCC from master, and use --gcc-tool

My one big complaint with IntelliJ is that they don't have Devcontainer support It's (almost) 2023, the way to develop applications is to put a reproducible Docker container with all the dependencies + debug tools you need in the

How is this any different than using a mutable reference or pointer to the "T"? struct Pointer<T> { ptr: *mut T } struct Pointer<T> { ptr: &mut T } This is just adding a ton of overhead and memory usage

It's actually crazy what you can do with C# as far as systems programming nowadays. I recently wrote a database buffer pool with it, allocating raw aligned memory and directly casting bytes from DB files into in-memory struct pointers.
