Let's suppose that you and I are non-technical founders of some medium-size software product. If we were to rank the most important factors in choosing how to build our product, I think we may be able to agree that they're likely:

Anecdote: My father was a Director at <large telecom company> and then an executive at another. He's spent his entire career in the industry. It's coming up on almost a year unemployed for him, and at this point he's re

FWIW, I have both IH and sleep apnea. The CPAP helped a great amount, but even with CPAP and meds (Solriamfetol for fatigue/sleep inertia, Daridorexant for insomnia) I'm not very energized.

Hypothetically, if one had good reason to believe a certain medication/treatment would work, and has some degree of risk-tolerance, they could acquire said medication online from other countries without trying to convince some doctor w

I was programming Rails during the Heyday. I don't miss it one bit. Yes, you can build things quickly, "rails g scaffold" was quite a tool. But the level of discipline required to keep a large Rails codebase from turning into

In what form does subscribing to the simulation theory imply "higher power"? Oxford defines the term as "a god or divine being." Why is it so absurd to think that there have existed or do exist beings with more intelli

Aren't business models complete bullshit? I've spent a decade in startups, and pitch decks along with projections are more or less riding-the-edge-of-grifting fluff. If it were possible to accurately forecast cost and revenue, the
