I have to echo some of the comments from TFA. If you mark it, no matter how, the curious are going to explore it. Even if they understand the danger they may unearth. The exception is if you have an advanced culture that stumbles upon it. T

Not as much as I should. Yes and yes. But I don't spend any/enough effort on them. Very. I live in a pretty remote low-population part of the USA. The people I want to work with will probably only ever get to know me online, until I move so

The article talks about two types of programmers. The passionate type and the type that programs because it's a way to make money to fund life outside of work. Then it points out that many of the latter type write poor code. I've found that

Use what you like and are comfortable with. It's pretty much a matter of taste. There's nothing you can do in Django that you can't do in Rails.

I'd suggest looking at some Java or C++ Q/A on StackOverflow. You can drill down by more specific technologies related to the jobs you're applying for. Other than that, a quick Google search shows plenty of sites offering interview question

How much have you spent storing and moving them and their associated loads? For younger people just starting to build a library I think the value proposition is definitely in favor of eReaders. They don't have to buy or move book cases, the

Does anyone know if Backbone.js is compatible with MooTools? I like the MooTools API better than JQuery's. E.g. new Element('div').grab(new Element('a')); versus $('<div></div>').append('<a></a>');

The thing he doesn't mention is that some companies can be a "6." What I mean is that a company can seem to be a good enough fit to the prospective employee but turns out, after a period of working together, to be a poor fit from the employ

Just wait until "standard" English becomes text speak. When that happens the advantage evaporates. The plus side is that the vowels on our keyboards will get a rest.

I spend $15-20 bucks a month on promising android apps. I should start writing reviews of them. I've come across some real gems. I absolutely hate ads, so ad-supported stuff is rarely an option for me, Google and Facebook being notable exce

Sounds like the people you're talking about are jealous, and covering it up with insults. Self-promotion has always been important. The degree of importance depends on your goals. If you want fame, you have to self-promote. If you want high

I'd like to add a further question, if it's not frowned upon. Are there any that might be interested in folks who would start remotely (but willing to come out for bits of onsite time) and then relocate to NYC in a few months?
