I really like this wrapping paper and would like to see more wrapping paper that imitates other objects in this fashion. I assume it'd be significantly more expensive than normal wrapping paper because it's suited to particular fo

I suspect it's a mixture of instant gratification combined with portability. We can carry a little dopamine dispenser around with us wherever we go, which (assumedly) causes us to build dependency on it.

One of the biggest selling points for me upgrading to an X1C was for similar reasons... I wanted more time to work _with_ the machine, not work _on_ the machine (if that makes sense).

WIRED Magazine crawling out of the pits of being a glorified collection of advertisements to having quality journalism pieces about tech related news was not something I was expecting for these times, but I'm happy to have been pleasan

I feel like there may be better ways to address your points without insulting the person you're replying to... Any chance you'd be willing and able to compose a reply that adds credibility to your claims? Or is this more of a &quo

A bash.org (RIP) equivalent for HN could be pretty fun to peruse! I'd be curious what ends up making it to the leaderboard.

I fear your opinion is one that most casual content consumers don't even realize is happening. They just want to consume content... However, they also share the road with you, help decide what content/messaging gets spread, and vo

That is WILD that Windows 11 runs faster than the machine's native OS... Could this suggest that modern Windows is, dare I say it, MORE resource efficient than modern macOS?! That feels like a ludicrous statement to type, but the resul

I built a NUC running Windows 11 into a tiny portable server for a project I was building and can confirm it boots and functions just fine without being plugged into a monitor. I just plug it into a power source and it does what I need it t

Nice work and thank you for the write up! Part of me is wondering if your bot is talking to actual humans or other bots (albeit not as advanced) because it seems like they just continue pushing forward with their script as opposed to gettin

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I recently went through the process of purchasing a car from another state and would've LOVED for it all to occur over email (and texting), but the dealership insisted that some of the communications

I just replayed Half Life 2 less than a week ago! I also caught myself thinking, "the levels may not be as detail filled as modern games, but the artistic direction both in graphics and level design is better than many modern designers

Consider looking at Mazda. They all seem to retain physical controls in addition to (optional) touch controls. Probably other brands out there too though.

One of the deciding factors for me going for a Mazda (currently being shipped!) over other brands is because they still use a real gearbox (and not a CVT), and because their media system controls are physical buttons and not a touch screen.

For me, it was as easy as adding a shortcut to the YouTube homepage on Brave that it basically acts like the YouTube app, but with ad blocking built in. It's the only way I watch YT videos on mobile.
