HN is a public forum where anyone from around the world can sign up from young aspiring programmers to retired folk. I haven't seen bullying on HN but it's worth noting that I don't consider disagreement to be bullying. Words

I haven't seen that type of grandstanding on HN - could be a tiktok thing though. HNers are normally open to discussing what they themselves post about. I think we can agree to leave the vaguebooking to the sulky teens on FB.

I hadn't heard of "Vaguebooking" either but intuitively recognised it immediately. That nails this thread really. Your reply also has a subtweet style to it - but I sure there's a better word to describe it! Anyway, look

I didn't realise you can do that. Is the mark incorporated in the design or actually covered?

I use Chat and Paste with LLMs. I have tried Cursor and Co-Pilot but they both kinda of suck in their own ways. I feel like understanding of the code completely goes away with Cursor since it's doing it's own thing. There's b

I disagree. All team members should be onboarded by the team - not HR - regardless of how much experience they have. It's so crazy to hire someone and expect them to just figure it when their teammates have the information. Be a team,

The article itself doesn't have comments. On HN, there's 2 posts that are against vibe coding which could be seen as gatekeeping. What are you referring to when you say "I see many gatekeepers in the comments."?

Yeah that's what happens. It can recreate anything it's been trained on - which is a lot - but you'll definitely fall into these "Oh, I see the issue now" loops when doing anything not in the training set.

As a European, I hope this is successful but it kinda smells right now. Also, I imagine whatever model they create will be the most censored.
