Sounds wonderful. I recently moved to San Diego and will certainly be checking out deer park monastery.

His books helped me through some of my toughest times, especially “No mud, no lotus” and “Work”. He’s had a big influence on me and I hoped to meet him at some point. I’m teary eyed and sad to hear this. He lived a beautiful life and was a

This is great! Wish our senior director would understand this. The man loves the idea of butts in seats for long hours and can’t wait to have us back in the distraction riddled office.

It's been a while since I used Pop_OS but it played better with setting up Nvidia proprietary drivers from the get go and that helped with getting a quick local ML dev environment set up. Their new tiling window manager also looks neat

For close friends I also stick to calling and texting them but fall back on LinkedIn for tertiary connections I had at various orgs before that I didn’t have numbers for or to seek out alma mater working in specific teams/companies.

I love LinkedIn because it helps me stay in touch with people who I went to school with and old co-workers as I deleted my Facebook account years ago. If I didn't have LinkedIn, it would have been much harder to stay in touch with thos

I love using Typora. My favorite feature is the mathjax support. It has replaced latex for me for grad school assignments and saves a lot of time. Great to see that they won’t be going the subscription route.

On a related note, Tiny Habits by BJ Fogg (from Stanford persuasive technologies lab) was one of the best books I’ve read on habit formation and have been able to start habits that I now do on auto-pilot during the day.

I recommend checking out Tiny Habits by BJ Fogg. He runs the Stanford Behavior Design Lab (previously known as persuasive tech lab). One takeaway from that book that might be relevant to you is that we tend to repeat actions that are reward

I'd recommend Investopedia to learn more about those terms. As someone with a robotics background, I used Investopedia extensively when I was taking Machine Learning for Trading (would highly recommend the course as well: https:/

+1 to the idea of having a few good math courses created by institutions. I think if I can save all that time on repetitive lecturing, it would make more time for discussion/experimentation based learning. I’ve also wondered about why

Curious if you use your markdown files on mobile and if so, what tools do you use? I’m still using bear because of their iPhone/iPad apps.
