I read the title and thought this was going to be about some expert rock climber called "Barnacle" Gosling.

No, we bash Beats because they are an inferior overpriced product. I'm no audiophile, but I do like to think of myself as a savvy consumer, so when I hear some 14 year old saying "Beats are better" I just might tell him that

Almost every time a 99% Invisible episode comes out, I can expect an article about the same thing pop up on HN a week later. Kinda funny.

About 4 years ago (note: not 14 years ago) my boss at the time told me "AOL" when I asked him that question. Immediately I thought he was joking, then I thought he must be mistaken and was telling me what his homepage was by accid

I tried out their little Tasks app on Android that is supposedly build with this. It's very unfinished. Slow too. I was kind of getting excited about this, but so far I'm not impressed.

Visual Studio has great multi-columns. Just drag any tab and snap it into place. Also, here's a simple solution: don't maximize windows. There's a lot of space on that screen that could be taken up by a browser, desktop icons

Anyone who would call the cops when a kid is kicking and screaming must have zero experience with kids. That's just what kids do.

I'd say Python is more like C# and Java than it is like F#. If you've never used F# (or Haskell, or something else like them) you're in for a surprise.

Just throwing this out there. I'd pay double the price of this if you included amazing F# support.

Yeah, if you want to make a modest living, let's say $40k+, it seems like you have to make accessible games and pray that one of them is a decent hit with the general population. If you make deeper games with a slow-growing fan base, i

For sure. It's fun to mess around with type providers over https, but not in production. The whole point is to have a (relatively) stable schema.

Meanwhile, in F#... type People = JsonProvider<"http://someurl.com/people.json"> let people = People.GetSamples() And, it's statically typed with intellisense and everything.
