From a design perspective I think they would probably get many more sign ups if they had a better call to action for their sign up button. It is hidden as a regular anchor tag and took me more then 5 seconds to even think about signing up.

I use both and love both browsers but as a developer I still find it frustratingly hard to use chrome without having firebug or an exact clone of firebug. (I am hoping someone says there is a firebug equivalent for Chrome)

Google could also block any facebook links from appearing as google search results if things become more tenuous. I highly doubt this would ever happen since they might face a heavy duty backlashing, but the thought is intriguing.
