People already commute via trains from NYC to Philly, no need to maglev to make it reasonable. Some of the other ones (NYC to Pittsburgh for example) run into the same issues with maglev as normal rails do, namely geography. But it would be

It's probably not the entire country, more likely it's the area or the tower he's able to reach. But it would be interesting to know if it's like remote towers on an unpopulated Bahamian island or more major areas.

Acela in the NE Corridor exists as does Virgin Trains (post COVID it's operated under the name Brightline) from Miami to Orlando. Only 2 of the 4 you listed haven't come to fruition.

I didn't think a lot of the cities can get fiber to the home. I know I can't in NYC and when I was in LA, nor in Ft Lauderdale. Is it easier in most other big cities?
