I think it's more about how the public at large tends to take your persona and assume that it is the entirety of your person. If I just used your posts in this thread to form a viewpoint as to the type of person you are and then treate

Bandwidth is by far their biggest cost, colocation/dedicated hosting would save a substantial amount but you are still going to be looking at something in the ballpark of $1,000/mo for 1Gbps. (Unless Cogent has slashed prices even

I'm not sure if RubyGems gets more traffic/has more intense computational needs/has more users than OkCupid, but that used to be hosted for about ~2-3K/mo from what I recall. However, that's not amortizing the cost

Is IBM selling or otherwise closing 25% of their hardware business? If not, haven't the executives horribly failed at resource management to have 25% of the workforce underutilized for a long period of time with no efforts to actual ut

Can you link to the top 100 FBI cyberscammers list? I did a bit of googling and was unable to find it. Also which owner of AirBnB is on the list? By owner do you mean a founder or one of their investors?

I think you can take up to $3K/year in losses if you have no gains. So if you have 0 gains, you adjust your income down by $3K. If you have 10K in gains, you can negate out that 10K. That's my early morning understanding of it tho

Do you also feel that Bruce Schneier could be a collective of cheap developers? That seems like a pretty odd position to take give Fydor's identity is widely known. ( http://insecure.org/fyodor/ )

Really, that's surprising to me. Would people of Bruce Schneier/Fyodor/et al stature go through the same interview process that everyone else goes through? I'm pretty sure they wouldn't at a big company but you guys

Better SLA and support options maybe, also I would guess Verizon's network (at least for the US) is better than most cloud providers. They also seem to offer some interesting encryption options for their storage service.

You should be able to retain a lawyer who would be able to send a letter/etc to get your stuff back assuming you still have the search warrant information used to seize it. Admittedly that requires the stuff seized to be worth it.

What about trains? I thought CalTrain ran down very near to most of the tech campuses, admittedly the companies would still need a minimal bus system to ferry people from the station to the office park.
