I recently looked for a co-working space in my city and it seems like most places cater for companies rather than individuals. Spaces (the same group as Regus) opened a 6 floor complex earlier this year. Their co-working space has a grand t

I think a lot of it is down to people being clueless about what colour temperatures mean and what should be used in what location. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people assume "higher is better". You also need to conside

In the Middle East the Land Cruiser V8 is king. It's not because of looks (although IMO they don't look bad), but what it can do. Can you use this to overtake someone on the hard shoulder (half covered in sand) and go bumming arou

How much snow do you get there? I live in Northern Europe and drive a Prius and have no issues in the winter. Last year we went to visit my wife's grandma, who lives in a 'village' (nearest neighbour 1km away) ~5km down a une

Electric heat pumps work fine in cold climates down to -20C as well. Below that they switch to resistive heating, so if it only drops below that for a few days a year it's still cost effective.

Plus if the leaks involve air circulating though insulation in the cavity or attic, whatever is in there will end up in your house air. That could be dust from construction, parts of the insulation material, or decomposing rodents.

I have a set of noise cancelling Sony MDR-1000X (previous generation) and just having the headphones switched on without music playing, they don't do much to block voice. However if I play music quietly I can't hear anything, even

I don't even believe the argument of open offices being more space efficient is true. I work in a co-working space with an open office section (fortunately there is a written rule that you must be silent), and surrounded by offices tha

I find I can focus pretty well in a noisy coffee shop, but if I'm in an office and someone on the desk next to me starts having a conversation, I lose all focus.

My wife and I were watching videos by Dr Gabor Maté last night - he has some strong opinions on child development and addiction (inc. social media addiction). I'd highly recommend watching them if you are a parent.

I'd say it depends on the type of work. A builder who is doing manual labour laying bricks? Sure. A designer following a creative brief to produce a new full page ad? I don't think you can force that type of work, so putting press

I imagine a big part is just having to talk to the airlines legacy systems. If Skyscanner (et al) had access to all the data, I expect they could compute prices quicker and give better options. I assume this is why Google bought ITA Softwar

What about companies like IBM? The company was originally foundered in 1911, but you could say their heyday wasn't until half a century later (or even more), after the original founder had left.

At least where I am in Europe, insurance premiums and speeding tickets are completely separate. It makes sense that people who get caught have to pay higher premiums though, as I assume they are more likely to be involved in accidents.
