I never understood how inverting a statement and adding the "fixed that for you" meme is adding any value to other readers.

I'll use Keep for everything the moment they add attachments, rich text and a clipper. It's already pretty close to what I need..

I wish they would ditch the business focus and return to plain old "remember everything". Who on earth needs features like "work chat"?

Since the group of users that would consider paying a yearly fee is also the most valuable group to advertisers, the devaluation might end up being very drastical.

I know that it's a strong word but this article feels like pure propaganda to me. Others can easily focus on bringing a different free service to unconnected parts of the world. There is no additional barrier introduced by Facebooks ef

If you are implying the US is somehow close to what neoliberal thinkers would propose, that couldn't be more wrong. Neoliberalism doesn't mean watered down free-market liberalism. The term describes a certain movement in (classica

I don't like the rape town phrase either. This, however, sounds pretty elitist to me. I hope HN doesn't get more progressive but stays as uniquely diverse as it is.

AFAIK abp does work by simulating a VPN on your system and therefore being able to block all resources channeled through this VPN. I don't know if that counts as system level. In comparison: Adaway (which needs root) edits the hosts fi

Now that they added tagging, I feel like the only things they need to add to replace Evernote for me is real, all-type attachments, (simple) formatting and a web clipper.
