What's the purpose of having a module like just-template when ES6 already supports templated strings? The only difference I see based on the example is that instead of using a template string literal, you call a function with an addi

The moment when I saw Google render inside the terminal is when I went from "whatever" to "wow". My typical dev setup involves a fullscreen terminal (with Vim) and a Chrome window with various tabs. Furthermore, I usuall

My quoting the word "anyone" was meant in the context of the parent post including its additional filtering of the set of people being referenced.

I wouldn't say "anyone". Most people, technical or not, have no idea what they're doing when it comes to computer security and don't care enough or take the time to research best practices.

Actually, I found after enabling the new feature I regained a lot of squares from a private organization I am no longer a member of. These squares didn't even show up when I was logged in before.

Why is this "terrible design"? I'm not a Taskwarrior user, but I did read through their introduction and didn't notice this perhaps odd behavior in the example until reading this comment thread. Looking at it again, I co

Yosemite and El Capitan prioritize /usr/local/bin over /usr/bin, so if you install the latest version of git via Homebrew, you're mostly okay. If you're using Mavericks or older, it is as described above.

One use is in AI path planning algorithms. When you have a continuous space with obstacles, you can discretize the space by constructing a Voronoi diagram where the nodes are at the maximal distance away from obstacles.

There are many places with colder, rainier, and snowier weather. But that doesn't change the fact that between San Francisco and Pittsburgh, San Francisco is a clear winner in terms of weather. Many people will take climate into accoun

As a current CMU student and startup founder, I agree with Paul's observations about the environment and the kind of people Pittsburgh attracts. I've witnessed firsthand the startup culture that is churning, and I don't doubt

The lazy way (which is still arguably better than answering truthfully) is to use the same answer for all the security questions. The better way is to treat each answer as another password and encrypt and store the answers somewhere safe.

It's a pretty neat way to visualize what the properties do. Learning how Flexbox works visually, as opposed to referring to a certain popular (and excellent) guide 10 times a day, is a pretty nice technique.

I might go so far as making the platform invitation only. I think doing so would provide two benefits. First, it would allow you to generally restrict the userbase to the type of person for whom it's intended. Second, it provides a s
