At least for me, Win-Tab takes ~2 seconds to “engage”. The animations are very much not smooth. The animation isn’t synchronized an multiple screens either. It’s a start, but it’s not there yet. However, window management on macOS isn’t gre

Hm, right, forgot about DI. Still, RxJS is the one thing many of my peers just cannot seem to grasp. So IMHO that's actually a minus.

> Angular would have been a better choice in this case because of similar design patterns. Well sure maybe superficially. There’s classes and then… that’s it. I don’t really see any other part of Angular that would help a (somewhat) expe

But software rarely exists in a (design) vacuum. It runs on Windows, it runs in a browser, on an iPhone… or maybe the software already exists and it's just a new feature. That's why "we live in a world of Frankenstein UIs&q

It's really quite simple. I've been using PCs since Windows 3.1. With "good software", I intuitively know how to use it and how it will behave. Of course, new concepts arrive every now and then, like ribbons or the hambu

They’re in good company though. UI/UX in general is going to hell. Not just in $big_corp, but nearly everywhere. I think that’s mainly because we have UI/UX as a dedicated function now. It’s a job that seems to attract people that

Not just that, I just noticed that the Steam app does not support iPhone backups. Blizzard app does, as does the Verisign VIP Access app. Pretty lame. The restore SMS didn’t arrive on time either that evening, fun!

I tried with Destiny 2 and it worked just fine. However, with GeForce Now I can just use the (supported) games I already own and it works just as well. Google will probably kill this service before long. I'd rather trust Steam and Upla

I agree! At the very least, the `map` operator/monad/whatever is very much required when you have to go beyond optional chaining (with the safe navigation operator). I very much miss it in TypeScript. It's never going to happ

For any regular server I’d recommend Debian. However, on my home server, I run Arch. It’s a pain with the upgrades, but I have access to all the latest and greatest software to tinker with. Which I feel is exactly what a home server is for.
