I also find it completely strange that here in the US people tend to use feet as a sub-division of miles, but the mile/foot relation is not trivial: 1 mile == 5280 feet. And why would you need so many units for length? mile, yard, feet, inc

Some time ago, during the winter we went to visit the Atacama Desert with my wife (she was born there). We rented a small car and my wife told me "are you sure this will work at 4,000 meters high? (13,100 feet)" - we were going to be travel

I was able to get one like 5 or so minutes ago. Took me a while and lots of phantom items in the shopping cart. But I already got the confirmation email.

I was approached by the same sellers in a mall. I got the exact same samples of "dead cells" cream. It was a lady the one that gave me the samples. Very convincing. If it wasn't because I was with my wife at the time, who happens to be a pe

That doesn't mean at all that it worked. All that information means is that Chile, now is in a good position relative to the rest of Latin America . Taking conclusions and saying that the reason Chile is the way it is now is due to the U

There's also a cultural thing about this: failing is often looked as a bad thing in Chile (maybe South America). This is slowly changing, but we still need to inject the idea that failing is just part of the learning process. About the empi

I agree with you. And I also feel a bit offended with the parent comment. If you're not an immigrant trying to overcome all the hoops and doing ridiculously steps to try to stay "legal" in order to pursue your goals then you probably don't

I've been on both sides of the fence: being interviewed and interviewing. The times I've been interviewed I felt (most of the times) that either the person questioning me had no complete understand of what he/she was asking --it could be po
