And what, be yet another Windows OEM? Lots of people have had that bright idea in the last 15 years. No thanks, there are enough of those already. This aspect of OS X sucks but it doesn't mean they should stop making software altogether. Th

Yeah, this is one of those annoying little dinguses that just makes OS X look crappy. In any file share or similar shared space, only one person has to browse it with a Mac to drop these little turds all over the place.

Exactly. There's no need to equivocate, just call this what it is -- lazy and incompetent.

As much as I would love to do this, I don't think I could ever bring myself to. If the line is more than about 4 people long I just turn around and walk out, unless I really need whatever the line is for. I'll wait at the post office, but

Dunno. I got one yesterday that I could not remove after trying all sorts of anti-malware and googling to find the actual problem. While running Windows Update get the latest security updates, one or more of the updates failed and left my

The whole thing was a sad farce from the start, really. I feel bad for the people who were sincerely anticipating this device, hanging out on forums about it and everything.

That's funny. I used to do backend stuff in C# but about 1.5 years ago switched to front-end development. To me it's so much nicer. I really enjoy using JavaScript, even after C# got all that handy functional/dynamic stuff added to it. An

Well, that's a nice thought. But there's a depression on and people need money, so someone will do it. The US government will find a way, I'm sure.

Man, he is like the best person. I'm a huge fan of all the stuff he actually performs for the public (standup, TV shows, movie work), but I also love how he writes in situations like this. So good.

Nice little write-up. I think I should take "This is an impractical standard to apply to everyday life" more to heart. In conversation I sometimes find myself adding unnecessary caveats to what I say, sort of similar to his "slept in one ti
