I'm sick of that invite-only horseshit too. If you're gonna share it privately don't announce it to the world. Don't wave a steak in front of my face and then walk it over to the VIP section. I don't care if this is petty, I am serious as a

So, they've posted an apology: http://t.co/h5jZOfb7 It doesn't really make sense to me though. The original does not read as sharp satire or parody at all, just regular old tone-deaf "haha chicks bro!!!!" idiocy.

Well, in this case they use Paypal for payments, and I used my Paypal account, so I got the receipt just fine, but never got the license key. So the possibility of "I gave them the wrong email address" never entered my mind for me to double

I bought a license for an app recently and didn't get my license key because I entered gmail.con or something. I was really pissed at them for about a day until I pestered them and they sorted it out. After it was over I was still kind of a

This preoccupation with "flow" is getting to be a bit much, I think. It's important to be able to focus on your work, but it's also important not to become like "The Princess and the Pea". You need to be able to do good work when conditions

Supposedly they are working on a phone product of their own. Maybe that is what the author meant, but still I think they are playing at different games. Tech pundits just say shit, you know how it is.

I like argumentative dicks. The important thing is that the arguments are good, not that precious feelings are protected. Though I would prefer if we could refrain from being dicks about it, if at all possible.

Raises hand It's important to know what you don't know. And I know enough about crypto to know that I don't know anything and should listen to people who do.

Can't wait until the day I get to overhear everyone's phone calls on the plane. It will really break up the monotony of crying babies.

Cloud music services are too limited, and all they get you is not having to store your music on a device you carry around with you all the time anyway.

If only it was as simple as hard work and persistence. Taleb does a great job of covering this in "The Black Swan". You may strike it big. But you may spend your whole life in the antechamber of hope.

I agree, the question is simple -- If you think the conditions in Apple's factories are abhorrent, fair enough. But whose products are you going to buy instead of Apple's? To me, this puts the lie to the idea that any of this has to do with

One one hand I agree, on the other I sometimes feel like Indiana Jones outrunning the boulder -- I had a head start so I didn't get crushed, and they did. I don't have much quantitative reasoning for that feeling, I suppose, it's just that

Good stuff. I like the dispatch idea. I've encountered the need for a way for views to talk to each other as well, though I ended up using another Backbone Model for that.
