That is too bad. It sounds like she was constantly harassed by some crazy troll psycho. Unfortunately leaving tech may not make him stop if he's that dedicated.

They are to me. I like that something I bought a while ago continues to improve and add features. Toasters don't do that.

OK, but if Google isn't releasing it, isn't that an indication that it won't run very well even if you do manage to install it?

Why did they even bother, then? That info makes this whole thing less understandable to me, not more. Edit: Actually, that's beside the point. I think the reason they made Honeycomb is because they thought a lot of people would buy Android

They're fine reasons, I just think it's lame to tout how "open" they are when in practice, it's more like "open when we think it's a good idea".

I like my smartphone. It really makes some things in my life much easier. I can't get lost anymore! That is an amazing thing to me. It's so much nicer to use than a desktop computer. The display resolution is so high that it looks more like

Reminds me of this blog post, "How to clone Delicious in 48 hours"[1]. It's cool that these people took their existing work and put a mockup of Siri's UI over it, but getting it to work smoothly and be useful is going to take a lot longer t

Why wouldn't that be OK? I like when they take a product of theirs that is already very good and refine it in a bunch of small ways. All those little refinements add up. This phone really is a beautiful piece of technology.

Well, if you do it that way you can change the whole rating by just changing the class name, after you set up all the background-position rules for all the different rating classes. I guess that's why?

Agreed, but at some point asking starts to feel like badgering . Basically every time I log on to Zipcar.com to make a reservation they throw up an interstitial asking for my phone number. It gets old. If I declined the first 5 times, wh

A couple years ago my company had something that was breaking because W3C finally started denying these requests. Whatever broke was some braindead XML thing as you say. The lame hack, which I believe is still in place, was to put w3.org in

Good point. I'm about 95% sure the disposal would still happen, but I agree it's bad form. This code is terrible in so many ways I didn't even consider that.

That was my first reaction too, but this was really a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation for Netflix. People were pissed at the change, and changing it back makes Netflix look bad. So, might as well take the option that users
