That is more related (not the same) to Java/C# Generics than Interfaces. That is, it is resolved at compilation time and not at run-time as these that you cited except for some cases in Rust where Traits can be both run-time or compile

This is how I see Rust and why I really like it. As a car analogy, basically under the hood it has the C and C++ engine (more true yet using all llvm optimzations for clang) but it has more modern Teslaish/Ferrarish body. :)

I've being toying with ZeroNet and WebTorrent/web2web and I see a glimpse of the future there. Not really sure about how to achieve mass scale without having something unique and attractive to it (or an incentive as in bitcoin). B

Sure, but I see the idea as a kind of boycott/protest. I disagree with patents, mainly software patents, consequently I will never use a license that consider patents.

It seems the author is trying to do classical OOP using traits (type classes). They aren't a match although the similarities. I understand his rant, but I don't think it is a valid one. You must change your design or change your

As an immigrant that have chosen Québec, I can say that one of the various reasons why I've chose this province (and city for the matter) is this distancing from religion and as a bonus the catholic bad words. I simple love it and I lo

Even if it doesn't has too much support, I highly recommend fips: https://github.com/floooh/fips I have been using it, adding some libs and even contributing some changes. You should really give it a try!

Don't think so. It looks more like some really bad choices mostly like bad dependencies or hard-coded things or something else. But to me this reflects the product quality and most importantly a big yellow warning on software quality.

I somewhat agree with your conclusions, but not with your reasoning. Anyway, to me GPL and LGPL always was the same thing but in different contexts: GPL = Applications; LGPL = Libraries - a nice trick is instead reading Lesser GPL, read it
