I have a System76 laptop, and I bought it because they supported Linux and because I could buy replacement parts if I needed them. The battery swelled, so I contacted them and they don't sell the battery anymore. I tried ordering one f

RDR2 works on my Steam Deck. I had to use desktop mode to sign in once, but after that it's just worked from gaming mode. The screen is a little small, though, or my eyes are too old. Maybe both!

I've been very happy with Aurora-DX, which falls under the Universal Blue umbrella. I reboot it once a week to apply updates and I can roll back if I need to.

Sorry, but Debian 13 was recently released. Just three months ago, you would have been stuck on Mesa 22.

I totally agree about expertise in a given domain. With that being said, I would consider navigating a directory tree below the level of swaying to the beat. I'm not expecting them to get into the nitty gritty about page alignment and

My kids were exposed to many operating systems at a young age, and you couldn't be more right regarding the mobile ecosystem. There's a lot of highschool aged kids who don't understand directories on a file system. They

I made sure to expose my kids to Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. They would use Linux for a bit, but ended up on Windows for games and Mac OS for media. Over the years, though, as Windows has gone EOL on their hardware or they have been force

Wow, the chat logs are something else. My wife works at a small business development center, so many people come in with "business ideas" which are just exported chatgpt logs. Their conversations are usually speech to text. These

I really like the idea of this, but I've run into several installers which are just incompatible with it. I don't remember which ones, unfortunately, but they just didn't deal with it well.
