Agree 10,000x over your 1000x. On the occasions where rapid unexpected (and awesome!) traffic or growth spikes happen you can almost always temporarily patch the situation by scaling vertically (bigger/faster disk/CPU) or quick and dirty ho

Like most others with iOS6 maps I've had my share of troubles and was excited to try this out when I saw the post. My wife gave birth a few days ago and so the first thing that came to my mind was the name of the hospital - a major hospital

I'm definitely not here to slander, especially since I really enjoyed the parts of the book you have completed thus far, and will recommend it to everyone scaling PHP once it's complete. You obviously know what you are talking about, and y

I've always wondered if that is the case. And if so, doesn't that mean there is a direct correlation between ease of living and depression? The less you have to worry about and deal with, the more likely you are to be depressed?

I'm curious, as I see quite a few post like this regarding coping with depression and suicide, are these very common problems among the HN/tech/startup community? Is it in some way more prevalent in this community vs other fields? Or are th

I like the product idea and am in the market for a CS solution, but I am hesitant to even try based on my expectations on pricing. I'd use it on a site with about 20k to 25k registrations per day, maybe 100k or so logins, and probably a mil
