"If the director of the CIA can't maintain his privacy on the Internet, we've got no hope." I couldn't help but laugh when I read that.

Segment.io guys, an aside from your blog post, which was actually quite good... Both your site and your blog are almost unusable on an iPhone. I know a lot of people (like me!) like browsing HN and blogs on their phone, and fixing layout CS

+1 for the web's most popular server side language. For all that talk if increasing customer retention and conversion, nothing beats supporting what people need.

As the founder AND developer behind two of the largest (maybe they are the largest) free typing tutors on the net ( http://www.typingweb.com and http://www.nitrotype.com ) I wanted to point out that there are more enjoyable ways to learn

I'm sure if you paid for the premium service the customer service would be more responsive. Simole rules of life: All software has bugs. Free services have slow/no customer service.

TL;DR A bug in Google's internal systems took his Apps account offline for a week. Slow customer service upset him greatly. To be fair to Google, this was hardly an assassination...

Agreed. All the ingredients seem fine enough. It's not rat feet and armadillo tails. Ya, it gets blended into a paste but so what? Tastes amazing once it's cooked up!

I bought some flatware... A spork made of titanium. Why? Because I saw an ad on a nerd gear website. I've had it for years, and eat everything I can with it. But I don't have a strange obsession with everything being the best. But I love my

I enjoyed this little post as I really related to what he wrote, and the graphs were funny and accurate, but I think he put a bit too much emphasis on "unhappy", which I believe is not accurate. I, and other entrepreneurs I know, are not A

My immediate advice would be to get rid of that little google ad bar that looks like a navigation. It's both confusing and sneaky, even if (maybe?) that was not your intent. Other than that, I was completely confused as to what I was lookin

I think that once driverless cars are mainstream, which I have no doubt will eventually happen, it can usher in the age of the (driverless) flying car... finally! There seems like quite a bit of technological overlap, and from a safety st

I completely agree with you. From the getgo, he said things like the Facebook "policy" department is basically the "police." Yes, there is a tasty similarity in spelling and overlapping meaning there, but if that's not sensationalist, I don

Yup, my sites are down. I'm sure it's something new and complex, like a ferret or a leprechaun got into the 7th backup power switch which overloaded this and that.. as usual something impressively difficult to plan for, but come on! Virgin

I'm so tired of these "seen it before, I'm smarter and more senior than you" responses. Look, if people vote it up it means they like it. Just because its been talked about before doesn't make it less valuable.

"One of those" saved time over naming off each country, considering everyone knows which countries I'm referring to. And is my country better? Um... Yeah. By orders of magnitudes it's better.

I wonder what they would do in one of those countries that attacks and kills people at embassies or sends jihadists off to crash planes into buildings. Probably a little worse than look at you funny or call you a name.

Complete nonsense. After creating a hit song, does a team of singer come along and maintain it and add features? Does yet another team build the next version of that song? Or that movie? Or that painting? Or whatever artistic work? The logi

So is there just an app making these types of things at this point? I'd have to imagine so... And if that's the case it's about as impressive as a generated ASCII art Mona Lisa.
