All true, but you don’t need to crack the hypervisor to play cracked games, and if you manage to jailbreak your console there are game backports for older firmware versions. Also, there are unreleased kernel exploits (i.e. jailbreaks) even

The article is not mentioning a really important part: the tax is per item category in the package, not per package. So if you buy an USB cable and a piece of plastic on AliExpress, for 1€ each, the total price would be 1€ + 1€ + 3.60€ + 3.

This is really nice work, and it does showcase your skills, ability to learn, persistence and attention to detail. I disagree with others who complain that either the design was copied or a few little details are not exactly the same as the

Since the ESTA is a visa waiver program, by taking advantage of it you don't require a visa so would not have to pay this fee. At least that's my reading of it...

It's sad to see all the negative comments considering that HN is often the go-to place for similar requests. This is a great idea, although I can understand how it can be risky for big tech employees. Nice work anyway. Maybe you could

I've found myself thinking the same. Maybe researchers don't have the data and/or the platform? Not sure who records what they eat, and if they do they don't share it?

You raise a very valid point and yes, it could be a net negative. However, what I was trying to do here is to reach organizations or people that already work the way I'd like, so that work is already organized in a flexible/async

Thank you. Writing tests and documentation or diving deep into debugging hard issues is what I consider part of "good work" (and that I have also enjoyed doing), and I can't wait to do good work. It just has to be compatible

Of course, but if it's part-time and full remote then it doesn't take away most of your day/life and I would have no problem with that. I also do translation work which can be tedious at times but I really enjoy it because I

I completely understand your point of view and I would think the same if I were you, but that's probably the kind of work I'm trying to avoid. I only have one life, and I just don't want to be paid to "stay around and do

VS code with Python is just frustratingly buggy. The only reason I'm forced to use it is the WSL/remote integration. Pycharm just works.

"AI" means all and nothing. I'd say just learn what you like and go with the flow. Maybe you should think a bit more about why you like those topics (and start from a subset of them once you have a good answer, ideally the su

This is awesome. I have found myself needing such a tool many times. I'm using tab managers in Chrome but this looks so much better. Good luck!

> Forcing people to spend their time at work is as close to actual slavery as contemporary society allows, so that's what they do. I completely agree with this, but I'm not sure this is necessarily beneficial for companies (com

My team got laid off a few months ago and after experiencing remote working this is the only kind of work arrangement I'd be happy to apply for. 40hrs a week of remote working does not allow for a lot of freedom, ~20hrs sounds amazing.

Every time I tried GeForce Now it put me in a long queue before letting me in. Never happened with Stadia and the whole "take up your controller and play" experience feels more polished on Stadia. Hopefully we'll get ray trac
