You also need universal mask wearing. South Korea had a huge cluster, but mask wearing practice saved it from spiraling out of control.

The South Korean model: 1. Build up testing and contact tracing capabilities. 2. Massive mask making, everyone required to wear a mask in public. 3. Hospitals reconfigured to deal with covid patients. People can then go outside and mingle a

Why not spend a little time learning how long the virus can survive on any mask before making nonsense comment like this? It deserved a stronger rebuke than "cmmon man" since it's wasting everyone's time.

Number of deaths is a lagging indicator while number of PUI (patients under investigation) would be a leading indicator. But since number of deaths is the number that can be easily aggregated let's hope in a few weeks we will find out

Or even just more personal protective gears for medical personnel, more isolation wards, and more ventilators could be readied. The medical system can be built up and reconfigured to take care of this disease but it needs time.

ECB already implicitly backs every country's bonds. They just need to stick to their stance. After the crisis is over there will be time to work out the cost sharing among European countries.

If the ECB forbears they can in turn forbear with their own customers. That is the only sane thing to do. This is not the banks' doing and they don't need to be disciplined at this particular moment.

ACE2 receptors, through which the virus infects the cells, are highly expressed in parts of the lung and the digestive tract. They are not in the upper respiratory tract however. The accuracy of the swab test depends on the amount of viral

You use the word "pneumonia" to describe seriousness, but this IS a viral pneumonia. The virus infects the lung first. Detection is through the sputum coughed up from the lung. If you test positive you basically have pneumonia. Ch

The main point of the finding is actually there were two strains to begin with. Each strain may create different pattern of transmission. See the original here https://academic.oup.com/nsr/advance-article/doi/
