I wonder what the bandwidth limit would be if you took 44.1kHz audio transmission to the extreme. Something like 56k6 modems?

Works with Wine, I'd like a port to Linux Arm64 though, it's a nice graphic file manager. On the other hand, ranger is adequate.

Nice, I remember using the crop function in my mobile pdf readers. Nowadays I OCR all my pdfs into ePub/markdown so I can grep, reflow, RSVP speed read and text-to-speech them.

There also was the Encyclopedia Brittanica, not sure how it compares to Encarta. I remember getting it on DVD or CD and choosing it instead of Encarta. No idea where it went. I'm not sure if the information is better or more complete

I like it that way, it reads like a story and it IS a good story. Not everything in tech or HN has to be to the point and a collection of facts, some narrativity is ok

Hi Joel, there is talk of gradual retreat by the experts. This was published in popular Dutch magazine (and perhaps talked about in talk shows, but I don't watch them), it was also published on the NOS site (the national news). Here is

Excellent, I did similar experiments in the past. RealAudio (ACELP) with Helix is also an efficient option, but Opus is the best. For more quality you can reformat your floppy with 2MF 3.0, it gives you 2 megabytes on a floppy instead of 1.
