Do you edit very large files? The regex engine and UI update speed feels incredibly slow to me when making complex changes across thousands of lines in a 200MB file, while vim or grep/awk/etc have no such problem.

I would happily move to get faster internet speeds, but all of the neighborhoods AT&T are targeting seemed to be expensive when I checked them out. This jives w/ what the article says: >>What's actually happening is that

If you ever have the chance to ride the Shanghai maglev from Pudong airport into the city, splurge a little bit for first class. It's incredibly relaxing before or after a long flight and watching the world fly past at 270mph and not

What do you think of Ace Player? It's a VLC branch adding BitTorrent support, which is a pretty slick addition. I've not been able to find their source code (wiki is down) but it looks decent.

+1 for LastPass. Saves a bunch of time. They're pretty damn persistent about doing security the right way -- they don't have the key to open your data.

All phones have a builtin kill switch. You need to compel the phone company to turn it off. But then there are ham radios. This is how things were done in Egypt... Look at how that turned out.
