The thing I don't understand about the "50% attacks" is that they should be detectable. There's legitimately going to be a transaction on the bitcoin network, and then a ghash.io block is going to show up that invalidate

Keep in mind that SLAM assumes a static scene. To stabilize a video with a moving target would mean that there's still going to be parallax otherwise you're going to get shadows (see the cool video on Oculus time warp: https:

I just hate that I can't charge my phone in my co-workers car because uses an iPhone. Vertical integration is great and all, but having horrible experiences with outside things isn't.

to go from deck_{a1,b1} to deck_{a2,b1} you need to remove the encryption. In order to remove E(k_{a1}, ?), you need to know which one was used, but can't, because it was shuffled. If you were able to know which one was used, you would

You don't really even need a stream cipher, just random data if you're using XOR. You're right that XOR is trivially commutative, but it is weak to known-plaintext attacks which makes it unsuitable for this algorithm. Suppose

Single-prime RSA is commutative. Agree on prime p, and encrypt with random prime e. d = e^-1 (mod p-1) which is easy to calculate using Extended Euclidean Algorithm. With keys e and r, (m^e)^r === m^er === m^re === (m^r)^e (mod p).

This only works for games where one party can know the contents of the deck, and can be trusted not to reveal them to others. For instance, if you're in the last spot in blackjack, the players ahead of you can know the cards in the dec

When I was looking for a place to live, I made my own program to scrape the MLS, and did similar things to this. My rectangles were hand drawn, not scraped from open data though, and were more based on the neighborhoods that had houses I kn

If you want to use the command-line version of git on windows in cmd/powershell, the default installed of git does this. You just need to select the middle option on the wizard page that says something along the lines of: * Use git bas

Fundamentally, static friction is the force that's going to be preventing the train from starting to move. If you had a semi-truck in neutral on a flat surface, I don't think you would be able to push it. The wheels aren't sl

This is showing a^2 + b^2 + 2ab (left image) = c^2 + 2ab (right image), since they both have area (a + b)^2. This implies that a^2 + b^2 = c^2, since 2ab is constant across sides.

I don't think they are related per se. Given A = B^a and R = B^r (not explicitly said in the first paragraph about El-Gamal, S is calculated by S = (H(R,M) - a)/r at the "Merge the hashes" step. At the next step, he'

For all intents and purposes, they do though. Using as an input that was originally an output sent to an address is practically the same thing as coming from the address itself. It only really breaks down for more complicated transactions.

A bitcoin doesn't have a unique number at all. The unique number that you are thinking of is effectively an "account id". When bitcoins are mined, essentially a ledger gets created saying that "account id" #12345673
