I would like that as well, but sadly a lot of U.S. politics seems to be based on personal factors these days...

I think Notch is in a good position. Minecraft has huge draw among children. Think of how many politicians' kids might play it.

Reddit communities are a minefield, at least in terms of the larger subreddits; Reddit is a site which has a significant young, male, socially liberal audience that is suspicious of advertisers. On Reddit, companies are seen as inauthentic,

That's one figure you will never see. First you have to quantify effort. Then, you need to get companies to reveal how much effort they put into each product or service. This ratio will be a closely guarded secret for companies, since it wo

This reminded me of the Vooza webseries [1]. Some of their skits are corny, but I think they show that there is potential for a good startup oriented series. [1] http://vooza.com/

Compared to other Bitcoin exchanges, I have high hopes that you guys are more confident. Taking a page out of Stripe's book is the right move, because you look less like previous Bitcoin sites and more like a startup. If Coinbase suffered a

I really love how the author has taken pains to ensure that everything works in browsers and Node.js. The demo is all client side code, which is truly impressive--there is no uploading to a Node.js server to retrieve SVGs or images.

Microsoft is attacking a straw man. The people Microsoft needs to worry about are not trolls with too much time on their hands. The people they need to convince are web developers frustrated by 10 years of IE that refused to cooperate with

It takes a lot of courage to share the source code of a failed project. What would you do differently if you had the chance?

Thanks for sharing Ruby Koans! I like the guidance that RubyMonk provides, but Ruby Koans just goes deeper and asks more of the reader. I wish RubyMonk was more like it in that sense, but I like how RubyMonk doesn't require a page refresh f

In the bad programming I've seen, you are spot on. There's one area where I disagree: "Good programming is self-explanatory. Bad Programming requires explanation." I disagree with the first part. Good programming may require explanation.

Yes. Hard drives do in fact come with the advertised storage. Manufacturers rate hard drives in using SI prefixes. Operating systems measure hard drives in binary bytes. It's not false advertising if the measurement system is valid.
