Most devs lack actual proof of the ability to deliver when under their own supervision. I would choose a tech that is high in demand. Javascript, Golang, Kubernetes. Use the learning process to develop a project. Deliver it to open source w

It will only take 8 days with all the delays and derailments. Oh and you can't bring your dog.

Here is another similar guide. Easier said than done of course. http://www.kalzumeus.com/2012/01/23/salary-negotiation/

I know how you feel. I would recommend taking advantage of meetup.com. You can connect with people using the knowledge and skills you have acquired as an engineer. The rest should grow from there. Most important is that you don't gi

Incorrect. The original article says nothing of the sort. The update which came after your post says this however: "Our only guess is that she did not post as often as they might not have liked." But he does say elsewhere that she

I can't say I am surprised. Google probably needs about 1 designer for every 50 engineers. They could have given her a year though.

There is no engineer crunch. Only wannabe founders who can't do anything but talk big. "Hey do you want to join my startup? We are reinventing analytics....again."

This is theater to me because both parties are complacent. Rand Paul would like you to believe Obama is responsible but most of us know it didn't start with Obama and it won't end with him.
