IANAL but dont think so - otherwise all self driving car companies would be illegal :) I would imagine this doesn't make it anymore illegal than modifying your tires/suspension/ECU does. It most likely voids your manufacturer

Yup - we are actually using webRTC under the covers for video/audio RTP and webRTC itself uses Opus (or recommends) so we'll probably be switching to that for audio chat when we go that route. Thanks!
