There was a time, when F5 key for Quick-save was common in PC games. Together with Quick-load, it worked very fast, no need for info-screens, it just worked in milli-seconds and allowed gameplay styles completely forgotten or newer experien

My 6 year old HP EliteBook has slightly better spec that my new HP EliteBook. The build quality is worse too, the newer one is just more lightweight and s bit thinner, but the battery is just 4h instead of 15h. I would go back to the old on

No wonder. Edge is based on the improved and refactored IE11 (trident) HTML codebase. The rather good UI of IE 3-11 has been replaced with a lousy new UI. One step forward, two steps backwards.

Microsoft devs who were responsible for WinNT, Win32, IE3+ almost all retired by now. A huge brain drain. Win10 and all of their products since around 2011 are such a mess and of rather lower quality than their older products, it's not

Does this new Telsa autopilot use stereo cameras? Would stereo camera help to have a better 3D vision? Or is a video stream enough to get the 3D data. From the video it looks like lane detection and 2D object recognition. It might use a str

What does this mean? So they send all 8 video cams data to Telsa? This would mean ould mean very high upload traffic and costs - sounds unrealistic. I assume Tesa sends the GPS data, and sensor data and maybe occasional photos back to HQ, b

Yes, sadly MSFT PR drones invaded HN since BUILD 2015. They are worse than the were during Ballmer days, their current CEO is bad for end consumers, the spyware in W10 and many other shady actions like forcing DRM EFI are very bad. Who (dev

You simple cannot compare Deus Ex 3 and 4 with Deus Ex 1. Deus Ex 1 is a much different and better game, a lot of thought went into it, the player can do so much more it's not even funny. No other game with Deus Ex in the name comes ev

I doubt a self-driving car without a LIDAR would make it - on the same "test road" as in 2006. But it shouldn't be a problem for others like Google, Volvo, Ford, etc We need an independent review of self-driving cars in a few

I agree, everyone is using LIDAR in the sensor mix but Tesla. Cameras simple don't work in certain weather conditions like direct low sun light rays eg in the evening. Ford, Volvo and others are using two (or more) smaller cheaper ($6k
