I think the biggest takeaway here is "don't reinvent the wheel", which I think is also a big problem for every engineer/hacker. Because we tend to build our own solutions as soon as we don't like an element or how something is handled etc.

I work with therod and I basically do the same. Normally I do 1x 20min nap after lunch. If it was a rough night, with little sleep - one nap at 9am and one around 3/4pm.

I wouldn't call tinkering with Pascal and C while in High School necessarily a long time. He had one CS class at Stanford, in which he didn't really excel (source: his Quora answers compiled here http://www.forbes.com/sites/limyunghui/2012

Awesome product, I can see this working very well in the online shopping industry. A very impressive part of the article: "[...] she interviewed about 800 boutique owners around the country, trying to understand their frustrations, and how

Then, you simply raised too little. I always thought that raising an angel round means "finally to be able to focus 100% on the start up". I'm not sure whether your investor would like it, if you spend your time doing other stuff than makin

The greatest insight I got from this (pretty awesome) book was that sometimes your friends criticize your ideas and projects, because deeply they are scared that your relationship will change if you're successful.

Make sure to stack tuna cans, eggs, brown rice and nuts. If you buy in bulk (which I recommend for everything except the eggs in your case) you'll get away with great prices. Preparing it is easy as well (think 1 tuna can + some fresh salad

But isn't this like hating on the architect because he didn't actually build the beautiful building by hand? You still like the building and give the architect credit for it, not the builder(s).

Same thing happened to me. To be fair though, I had issues with the app around a year ago and they promptly answered. It seems like they are a bit swamped with support issues now.

Actually the use case you described seems very ripe for disruption if you ask me. Because it's hacking your way to the solution, whereas we could need a better solution.

Upvoted but I'm not so sure about your number 1. I always thought that you need to have a US bank account (hence US citizenship) to incorporate the company in Delaware. How would you achieve that as a non-US citizen?

I think Jack Dorsey (and now Justin Kan) are pretty good examples, too. Why are you excluding those two?

I have a lot of respect for Justin Kan, so this might come off a little weird, but: How the hell does he split his time between two time-intense companies and start a new startup at the same time? Am I missing something here? Edit: three co

The funny thing is, if James Bond would do something similar in a movie, everybody would fall in love with the technique. But if somebody really breaks this down for you, it's wrong and "attention-seeking". As he says in the last part of t

The front looks beautiful, but the back (which is ugly) reminds me of a SsangYong Actyon ( http://www.netcarshow.com/ssangyong/2006-actyon/800x600/wall... ). I'd love them to design the back similar to a BMW X6, which is also a Crossover-S

At this price I'd consider the ebook by Mark Cuban (who is a billionaire), selling at $2.50 on amazon. Sahil, I support a lot of your stuff and I'm a fan, but I'm not paying $5 for something that I'm not sure is good. I definitely would sup
