To try and remove myself from Google as much as possible I've been trying Apple Maps again after previous bad experiences, and much prefer it now. The only exception is place information, including opening hours etc, for which Google i

I loved living in Edinburgh's New Town because of the tenement blocks. The huge windows were a life saver in the winter because they let in so much light. (Not so sure about the energy efficiency of single-glazed sash windows though).

This just isn't true, certainly in the sense that I meant it. What about a breast cancer charity who wants to raise awareness of the early signs of breast cancer? A domestic violence charity who wants to raise awareness of the signs th

This is fantastic, and I hope it stands up on the presumably inevitable appeal. It's the most obvious way of eventually getting rid of per-site cookie notices - make DNT legally enforceable and cookie notices become irrelevant for peop

All the hallmarks of a policy from a government that has entirely run out of ideas. An easy target because it's mostly young people, who are never going to vote Tory at the next election. Stupid that they're spending time on this

Not offering an opinion one way or the other on either of these, but the government does have plans to ban tobacco in a phased approach, so someone who's 14 now would never be able to buy tobacco legally.
