I found it hugely annoying that I couldn't just start, that I had to press "Enter" first. I don't know why that is necessary and I wish the author didn't force us to do this. Otherwise, very nice job.

This wasn't Apple's decision. Tim Cook also said Apple would be having something for Mac Pro customers later this year seeing as the current Mac Pro hasn't been updated in ~3 years. With that said, 2012 iMacs are extremely fast machines.

I guess a big difference is that your data isn't stored at a 3rd party somewhere. That's one of the things that are good about Dropbox - if you delete your stuff, you can go back and fetch it.

Nice job. I love these kinds of small helper/utility sites, it's big part of why I follow HN. Is there a directory of sites like this somewhere, by the way?

I tried this tool on a few texts and it recommended some fixes on ambiguous and redundant words. It didn't change the style as much as it improved the clarity and comprehensibility of the text. I think you're overreacting.

You're probably just used to Svbtle blogs, there are many of them, after all. The only thing that's different with this one is that it uses Helvetica instead of the font Svbtle uses - Freight Sans.

I've got a soundbar connected to a Dell U2711. If I play a piece of music on YouTube and the volume (of the YouTube player) is above 50%, the sound is distorted. Since I can't control the volume in Mac OS X, and changing the volume on the s

Quite obvious ripoff, too. Apple could at least have named it "nosleep" or something like that.
