I found it hugely annoying that I couldn't just start, that I had to press "Enter" first. I don't know why that is necessary and I wish the author didn't force us to do this. Otherwise, very nice job.
- thameera 14y agoWe will be adding an Options panel soon, and we'll make it possible to opt for this. Thanks!
- maaku 14y agoStill very much the wrong approach. I can see why you had the demo-mode on the landing page, although I think it isn't necessary, but there's really no reason to have it all once you're interacting with the site.
- prateekmi2 14y agoAnother side effect is that sometimes I accidentally skip sentences that start with s because i invariably forget to press enter before starting.
- jlewes 14y agoI also did this several times initially.
- arunoda 14y agoYou can have a big start-typing button at the home page (initially). But when we select a lesson from the select box or retrying a lesson, it would be great if we could able to start typing immediately.
- GhotiFish 14y agoSmart defaults. Requiring enter to start is not smart. It just isn't. Sorry.
- boshea 14y agoIt kind of makes sense. It makes the timing more accurate by preventing late starts caused by different people starting typing at different times.
- fredsted 14y agoJust make it start counting at the first matching keypress. Problem solved.
