I settled on that after trying to be extra careful with TOTP. Now my split is 95% of passwords, TOTP codes and passkeys in 1Password, 5% (really important stuff like email) in an offline KeePass DB + passkeys on Yubikeys.

I'm probably a heavier user of reddit than most but I recently deleted the reddit app on my phone because it's just too much. I still use the site though, but now I use an iPad with old.reddit to make using it as difficult as poss

Claude's "write me a product description like a cool human would" is just using lower-case where it shouldn't be though.

In a pursuit of saving even more money, I noticed a lot of T14 ThinkPads have missing/broken keys. Replacement keyboard is $20 and a few minutes of work. Worth about a $50-$100 discount.

They are disposable, they just last way longer than any of their competitors. They are not on the level of upgradability as the Framework (anymore).

Honestly I think kitchens have way less stuff than a lab like this and following Alton Brown's advice of avoiding "unitaskers" will basically guarantee you don't get overwhelmed.

I agree with the many levels of abstraction, but at the same time, directly managing systemd units is also so much easier with Nix then any other distro I've tried.

GUI Emacs on a 12 year old processor (i5-4590) feels faster than on a M4 Pro Macbook. I think it's just something to do with the window manager on each of the systems (my experience is mostly with Wayland KDE) rather than the speed o
