RFCs were originally formatted as plain-text, and render well on most browsers (as long as the viewport width can fit 70 characters). The first time I inspected one in a modern browser devtools, I was confused: "where's the HTML?

File handle refcounting would be nice to avoid spamming Git with commits, indeed.

Is there a project that does the reverse of this, namely mounting a filesystem where every write to a file in the repository becomes a Git commit?

Do freelance client gigs count as "a job"? If so, a few projects have definitely contributed to visibility: my end-to-end encrypted analytics SaaS [1], and a lot of the open-source libraries that I published while building it [2].

I like using my personal website as a platform for experiments, this was one of them. Also I can choose to selectively share my phone number with others (using a normal or private tab), which the Android contact app doesn't do.

I took another approach when dealing with sharing my contact with others, particularly my phone number. My contact page contains a QR code for a vCard, but the phone number is end-to-end encrypted and not rendered if the correct key isn

It's not much about collisions, more like predictability of the output. You can trivially construct a rainbow table of the most common N passwords and test a dump of SHA-256 hashes against it. Also, SHA-256 is vulnerable to length exte

One could argue that base64 having a shorter output length than its input would weaken any given password, assuming a brute force attack (not a dictionary one).

The 2D calculator could already display 3D curves with a projection layer [1], but it's nice to have it built-in. I built a few models of analog hardware with that trick that brought it to its knees back in 2016. [1] https://
