In order to fix that short delay before movement when you hold down a movement direction you should make pressing the arrow keys set a corresponding movement boolean to true. Then just move whenever the boolean is true. Great game!

I think another possibility is that he is not turning to kickstarter because he cannot raise money otherwise, but instead because he realizes that it is an incredible marketing tool. Case and point, we're all discussing the device right now
