I remember when I used to post to stackoverflow (havent in years at this point), if I asked a question I would literally get harassed if I did not mark of the answers as correct. One of many reasons I stopped participating. It's a use

That is partly on you but also more on your manager. He should be talking about where you want to go with your career in 1-1s and certainly in reviews.

At this point though intel has slashed their price/core to be competitive if not better than threadripper. They don't have anything that compete in core count, but if you look at the 9980/10980 series with 18 cores, its very

If you want a really well rounded finance background, you could pursue the level 1 CFA exam, or the curriculum of it. If you are not looking to pass the current exam, you can get older books for almost nothing used. If you want to actually

What makes you think they want to move back in 6 months? Moving is a big deal, you are right about that. It's not impossible to do in a couple of months if you have the means to put down 20% and get a traditional mortgage.

This works very well. Another thing I do that works well, and I don't really see it brought up anywhere, is to use nomachine to connect to localhost. It's not seamless in the sense that you have linux apps side-by-side with native

You never know but as has been pointed out in different parts of this post, they have two different use cases in a sense. Windows developers who were using WSL1 aren't going to like the changes and i've heard a lot of complaints.

OBS can do all of that except nativley output a virtual camera. I use windows and the virtual cam plugin works well for that, though it doesnt do the audio. I think you can set it up externally to obs using a virtual audio cable driver but

Just a minor correction. The ex-date is not necessarily the date it is paid. It is the day after holders of the security are entitled to the dividend. The actual pay date comes later. The important thing is that the price of the security ad

It's like the Pulp song Common People. The moral is that you will never have the same experience as common people because you dont have the same existential dread.

I think it's a little more complicated then that. A variable might not be linear in general but may be approximately linear within a certain range of values. You might fit the model on values only within that linear range and thus get

I don't know how it works in Silicon valley, but finance companies I have worked for have pretty much always required that source code be turned over if the vendor folds when doing business with small vendors.

I find longer commutes more tolerable if it's by mass transit, so long as you know you will have a seat. There are a lot of ways to be productive or enjoy your time, where as with a car, you are pretty much limited to audio. I see wh

I would disagree with this. In general, the algorithms are well known and only need to be implemented once. Doing problem modeling to solve real problems is where the action is for optimization.
