I record them as .mov files, and deliberately test them for compatibility w/ quicktime & VLC. They should work just fine.

I say Clojure, because I would be hard pressed to think of a platform better than the JVM. Garbage collection, speed, deployment are all top notch in java-land. Postgres support will probably be easier w/ Clojure, because everything is wri

As an avid Clojurian, I can recommend taking the plunge. The seq abstraction goes a long way to reducing library sizes. This is going to be as big a deal as the STM. My $.02
