You could secure it in a number of ways, including the way you mention. Unfortunately, it seems like security is no ones top concern unless they are forced to handle it correctly.

As someone getting onboarded now, getting left to compete a toy project using the tech stack the new company uses is working out well. Blockers sometimes happen, so regular check in are appreciated. It also helps to ask questions you can&#x

I went down the rabbit hole of low TDP Xeon drives when I was last building a home FreeNAS box. It makes sense in theory to get a CPU that doesn't get as hot, so will need less cooling, but I think TDP is more about the total / ma

I have a T480 with Ubuntu 19.04 on and it works fine. I chose not to have a fingerprint reader or card reader, so I can't tell you if they work, but as a work laptop it's build very well and I can see another 3 years of life at le

In the UK we have ITJobsWatch[0] that seems to aggregate all the public job listings and organises by key word. It should give an idea of what the average person in that job is earning in each area, along with other correlated skills you mi

I went down this route in the past using things like https://jsonresume.org/ and even latex to create lovely PDF outputs. The thing is, most people want the least friction in viewing your Resume/CV and the best results

The difference is so high inside of London compared to an hours train away that it's not even on my radar any more to even look for jobs in the UK outside of London. I sat a jump of 2/3rds in salary when moving to london.

I'm forced to use Windows 7 at work. I run Linux in virtualbox to get round this limitation. It keeps corporate IT departments happy because they can enforce patching policies and audit software.
