I've also changed my mind about bitcoin. As an earlier believer an enthusiast, I cannot see bitcoin as anything more than a race to spend energy for nothing. It doesnxt scale it's not sustainable, it will fail. I still believe in

Good question. Agelessness is not as sustainable as reproduction. If something lived "forever" the ability to reproduce would have to go down to prevent overpopulation. The race would then be more wounerable to disease/disast

Running Linux on desktop today has never been better. I dont even know what setup you have, but I've run linux (mainly Mint) on countless laptops/stationary pcs the last 10+ years and never had any network problems. Coming from wi

Installing certbot with apt on Debian 10.5 is a breeze. I was struck back to read that the official certbot documentation actually recommends installing snapd and _not_ use the apt packages. In fact it will ask you to "Remove any Certb

Linux Mint is so good I have a hard time understanding why anyone would use Ubunty. I've used so many distros over the years, but I always end up with Mint in the end. Canonical's horrible choise regarding the snap drama is just a

Ubuntu has gone way to far in this. Reminds me of Microsoft in the 90s. It's really really sad and totally unbelievable. Why on earth would they make such terrible choises, I just don't get it. Linux Mint is an awesome alternative

Bandcamp had been my favorite music store since it launched, it's simply "how things should be done" ! It's the first place since the mp3 boom where I actually spend money and feel really good about it. Big up!

I keep everything from notes (markdown) to config files etc in a private self-hosted repo (gitea) accessable from anywhere. Don't trust any online provider for personal notes

Great stuff from the best music platform out there, hands down. You get mp3, flac, cd, vinyl, merch and no bullshit attached. Best deals for artists also. This is the only place I buy music these days :)
