Doesn't change the fact that if the Romans thought that an engine would have been useful, they would probably have begun studying a way of making it more efficient.

Exactly, I knew of IOTCore already, but I don't know of any WinAPI to access such low level features

Are the GPIO pins accessible via APIs too?

None of those places speak Latin, they all speak Romance languages. None of those languages are anything like Latin.

You could use three lasers (rgb) and merge their beams using a set of dichroic mirrors, then use the resulting beam as if it was your red laser. The control logic then switches the three lasers instead of only one.

I don't think that's necessarily true, using constexpr facilities you could make a function do nothing according to a compile-time variable value

There's also the "capacitor dropper" method that uses a capacitor as a frequency-dependent resistor and has a slightly better efficiency but lower power factor than a resistor.

I think it has something to do with the fact that Intel hasn't got, for the first time in many years, the "latest and greatest" mainstream processors anymore

I'm no EE, but dynamic headphones (i.e. 99.5% of them) have a generally high impedance (relative to earphones) and require a higher voltage to operate. Add to that the fact that they are a mostly inductive load, and you get the recipe

Interestingly, the Internet has quashed my enjoyment of multiplayer games: so many people are playing them, there's no chance I am going to be able to compete, given that I only play occasionally. When "multiplayer" meant &qu

If you are predicting, chances are you don't care about all the decimals being correct and you'd rather get the result quickly.

This is basically Peano numbers, hardly invented by Church. Not to discredit Church for lambda calc, of course.

I remember that - _many_ years ago, ten maybe? - when I tried to use D for OS development, I was forced to use GCC because it was the only one who supported custom linker scripts IIRC. Nice to see that all the projects are still doing well!

So what is the currently "best compiler" for D? Is it DMD or GCC or...?

I absolutely don't agree and have not found the author trying to shed that light on Popper. Quite the opposite in fact, I felt it was just the description of a rightly self-confident and exuberant philosopher.

I fail to see the humour in this, how are those HTTP responses? When would a server respond to a request with "Haskell"? Makes no sense to me, while " I'm a teapot" made perfect sense
