No plans for x86 at this time. What application do you have in mind, and what OS would it be running? In our experience even embedded linux projects run on ARM these days.

The struggle is real! Compiling with debug enabled does change timing enough to hide (or surface!) race conditions. The best way I've found to deal with this is: 1. Compile with -O2 (or for firmware, -Os) by default, and generate debu

I use an ipad pro for note taking in OneNote with the Pencil. While handwriting recognition would be nice (make the notes searchable), it's still extremely useful without it. I just review my notes every evening and take action on the

In the embedded software context, you typically do your own static initialization in a startup.S file or equivalent. There should be 0 ambiguity as to when your DATA section is copied to RAM.
