Is this compressed sensing though? The description says "Sensor 30x30 pixels, 64 colors (ADNS-3090 if you wanna look it up)", so definitely not a single-pixel camera.

With many quadrature rules (e.g. trapezoidal rule, Simpson's rule) you have a very cheap error estimator obtained by comparing the results over n and 2n subdivision points.

Same reason why Linux is not crashing the desktop market? (I have a Jolla 1 and a Jolla C sitting in a drawer, now I fully switched to Graphene OS.)

There is another major factor that could cause scores to rise globally: ChatGPT. It is now good enough that it can explain topics to students at home, like a private tutor.

I wasn't expecting to read a Hyperion reference in this thread, such a great book. (And if you haven't read the book you can guess what could possibly go wrong with this setup.)

It also sounds like a plumbing nightmare to build.

> This EU law has made security far worse. Stop blaming the EU. They didn't make security worse. It's Google and the other manufacturers who decided to respond to this law by using a loophole that made security far worse.

Open source is not only about being able to read the code: the open source definition includes "Free Redistribution" (anyone who has the software can give away copies, and get paid if they want) and "No Discrimination Against

If it's not free for enterprises then it's not open source, according to the commonly accepted definition.

"Plug and stay" is also a horrible idea at a time when laptops routinely come with only 2 USB ports.

Does the QR code that you use when boarding have to be the same QR code that you use before security, though?

Thanks! For something more complex, I suggest a moderately complex formula with parentheses and superscripts like $f \in \mathcal{C}^0([a,b])$, an equation delimited by \[...\], and maybe a macro declaration with parameters like \newcommand

An interesting remark: in the 1950s-1970s, mainframes were typically rented rather than sold.

I am not debating what tranq_cassowary and the other two users are writing: it seems all correct (from what I can verify) and useful. I am just suggesting that they disclose their affiliation, if there is any, as a good transparency practic

Are you affiliated with the project? I see all your posts are about Graphene OS. On HN it is customary to state it: you often see "author here" in discussions where the author joins. If you are part of the team I would suggest aga

I never wrote that the other Graphene OS features and mitigations are trivial. I agree that there is much more to that. And even if the USB mitigations were hard to write (thanks for all your work, by the way!), they are surely significantl

It's also a question of length though. If you go down 292 m and then back up over 14.4 km, that is a 4% slope on average. But to go down 250 m and then back up over 3.3 km, it requires a 15% average slope.

The name at the top of the article is still the journalist's. They might be selling (through ads or a subscription) an article written by a Pulitzer winner, but in fact it is partly written by an editor, and the journalist hasn't
